Television and stage stars Linda Robson, Louie Spence and Bobby Davro will lead the cast of this year’s spectacular family pantomime Cinderella at Wycombe Swan.
Linda Robson, who will play The Fairy Godmother in the panto, has been a popular figure on British television over the years for her starring role as Tracey Stubbs in the popular sitcom Birds of a Feather. After a gap of some years in 2014 the programme returned on ITV1, reuniting Linda with her much-loved co-stars and drawing in new audiences of millions. In addition to her acting career Linda is one of the panellists on Loose Women, has featured on Grumpy Old Women and has even been a contestant on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
Television personality, presenter and choreographer Louie Spence pirouetted into the nation’s consciousness thanks to the overwhelming success of Sky One’s Pineapple Dance Studios and Louie Spence’s Showbusiness, solidifying Louie’s reputation as an expert on all things dance. In addition to his television experience Louie has enjoyed an extensive stage career appearing in Miss Saigon and Cats and danced alongside Take That and the Spice Girls. Louie will play The Prince’s loyal manservant, Dandini.
Bobby Davro is well-known for his illustrious television career which has seen him present his own series Bobby Davro on the Box, Bobby’s Sketch Pad, TV Weekly, Public Enemy Number One, Rock With Laughter and Run the Risk, and host of 65 episodes of Winner Takes All. He has also appeared in EastEnders playing the loveable rogue Vinnie Monks, donned skates on Dancing on Ice, and last year came fourth in Celebrity Big Brother for Channel 5. No stranger to pantomime Bobby has delighted theatre audiences for a number of years and will be playing Cinderella’s best friend Buttons.
Executive Producer of Cinderella Jonathan Kiley said “We are thrilled to have Linda, Bobby and Louie lead our cast in High Wycombe’s magical and unmissable pantomime. With lots of laughs, stunning scenery, fabulous costumes and plenty of audience participation, Cinderella will be the biggest and best panto ever staged at the theatre.“
Wycombe Swan Theatre Director, Simon Stallworthy, said “After the huge success we had last year with Craig Revel Horwood, I’m delighted that we will be welcoming this wonderful trio of talent to the Swan. We couldn’t have wished for a more entertaining team, and I’m starting to get excited for Christmas already!”
Cinderella will be staged by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer and the company behind the Theatre’s previous record-breaking productions of Peter Pan and Dick Whittington. Cinderella features the Swan’s hallmark of outstanding entertainment for theatregoers of all ages.
