We are thrilled to announce that much-loved Liverpool television and stage actor Louis Emerick and X Factor finalist Niki Evans will be jumping aboard the Jolly Roger alongside previously announced stars Tony Maudsley, John Evans and Asa Elliott in an all-new spectacular production of Peter Pan from Saturday 7 December.

Best known and well-loved for his twelve year portrayal of Brookside’s Mick Johnson, Louis Emerick has been a mainstay on British television for the last three decades appearing on many of the nation’s best-loved programmes including Last of the Summer Wine, Casualty, New Tricks, The Bill, Waterloo Road and Coronation Street, and appeared in the film Layer Cake opposite James Bond actor Daniel Craig.

In addition to his time on screen, Louis has proven himself as a critically acclaimed stage performer having appeared at the Liverpool Empire and Royal Court, Liverpool, appearing alongside Mark Rylance in The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui at the Contact Theatre in Manchester and in works at the Royal Exchange and Stephen Joseph Theatre. Joining him as The Magical Mermaid will be X Factor and musical theatre star Niki Evans. Having begun her extensive singing career and signed to Pete Waterman’s record label at just 16 she soon made her first television appearance on BBC’s Star for a Night, hosted by Jane McDonald. Soon after she reached the semi-finals of The X Factor, mentored by Louis Walsh. Despite missing out on the coveted prize, Niki ventured out on The X Factor Live tour, appeared as a special guest for John Barrowman at Birmingham Symphony Hall and as a featured vocalist for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations and released her debut album, By Request.

Niki has also appeared in various musicals across the UK and in London’s west end, including the iconic Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers, Miss Mason in Cool Rider, Paulette in Legally Blonde, and various pantomimes for producers Qdos Entertainment. Niki is currently starring up and down the country in the first ever tour of the hit west end musical Kinky Boots in the role of Trish.

Louis and Niki join Benidorm stars Tony Maudsley and Asa Elliott, and much-loved Empire funny man John Evans, back for a third consecutive year. Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime company, Peter Pan marks the Empire’s third collaboration with the world’s biggest pantomime producers, having previously staged productions of Cinderella which starred Duncan James and Jodie Prenger, and last year’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk which starred Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas.
