THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN! CANNON & BALL TO STAR IN CREWE’S GIANT PANTOMIME, JACK AND THE BEANSTALK!

Following the phenomenal success of last year’s pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Crewe Lyceum have announced that the hilarious Cannon & Ball will be back to star in their third consecutive Crewe panto! Back by overwhelming popular demand, the much-loved pair will star as Tommy and Bobby Trot, brothers to Jack, in the pantomime title Cheshire audiences have certainly bean waiting for.

Best known for their legendary comedy variety show The Cannon & Ball Show, which ran for over nine years on ITV1 featuring their classic comedy routines and trademark catchphrases Tommy and Bobby have solidified their reputation as one of the nation’s best-loved comedy double acts. With subsequent success in sitcom, gameshows, comedy shows, summer seasons, plays and pantomimes, the boys have excelled in every aspect of entertainment with their hilarious comedy routines, sketches and songs.

Having starred as the Policemen in Aladdin in 2016 and as the Wicked Queen’s Henchmen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs last year the boys have won rave reviews and entertained thousands of Cheshire theatregoers and will delight audiences all over again in this year’s must-see, giant family pantomime.

In a Crewe Lyceum first, this year’s pantomime will also feature a fantastic 3D journey into the Giant’s castle, taking Jack, Tommy, Bobby and audiences on a perilous quest to rescue the Princess and win the Trot family wealth beyond their wildest dreams.

Jonathan Kiley, Executive Producer for Qdos Entertainment said: “The magic of Cannon & Ball has really won over Crewe audiences and due to overwhelming popular demand we’re thrilled to be bringing them back for a third year. With fantastic new routines, plenty of surprises planned and the introduction of an amazing 3D sequence, Jack and the Beanstalk is going to be a giant of a show”.

Jack and the Beanstalk, which replaces the previously advertised Dick Whittington, will be staged by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, and the company behind the Theatre’s previous record-breaking productions of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin and Cinderella. Jack and the Beanstalk features Crewe Lyceum’s hallmark of outstanding entertainment for theatregoers of all ages.
