Venue Cymru has announced that this year’s sensational family pantomime Sleeping Beauty will star…

Sherrie Hewson, Kieran Powell and Friends and Nigel Ellacott in an all-new spectacular production from Saturday 7 December.

Much-loved actress, TV star and Loose Women presenter Sherrie Hewson leads the cast of this year’s spectacular panto playing Nurse Temple Savage, returning to Venue Cymru after the recent sell-out success of Benidorm Live which came to Llandudno earlier this month. Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Crossroads and the legendary Carry On films have all led to Sherrie becoming one of Britain’s best-loved and most popular faces on our screens. In the last decade Sherrie has made a niche as the comedy cornerstone on Loose Women and released her first novel The Tannery and a best-selling autobiography, Behind the Laughter.

Joining her as Muddles, the hilarious court jester, will be ventriloquist and panto star Kieran Powell and Friends. A staple on the comedy scene for a number of years, Kieran’s highly entertaining and hilarious ventriloquism act entertains thousands of people every year, having appeared in London’s West End, on tour across the UK and on board some of the world’s finest cruise liners.
Completing the line-up will be Llandudno’s favourite Dame, the fabulous Nigel Ellacott, starring as The Queen. No stranger to Llandudno, Sleeping Beauty marks his fourth pantomime appearance at Venue Cymru. Nigel will be bringing his array of fabulous frocks, quick wit and encyclopaedic knowledge of pantomime, with this year’s production marking his 45th year in panto.
Qdos Entertainment’s Executive Producer of Sleeping Beauty Jonathan Kiley said: “Without question Sherrie is a national treasure, not only a wonderful comic actress but one of pantomime’s best leading ladies. We’re delighted she’ll be starring in Llandudno alongside the wonderful Kieran and Nigel.
