West End star Lee Mead is set to wow audiences in Cardiff this Christmas as he leads the cast of the spectacular family pantomime Cinderella in the role of Prince Charming. Lee’s is the first of a number of big names to be announced for the show in the coming months.
Lee shot to fame when he won BBC’s Any Dream Will Do, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s national search to find the lead in his production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He subsequently enjoyed a successful run in the hit musical at London’s Adelphi Theatre which was acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. Since then, Lee has established himself as one of the leading names in musical theatre, having played Fiyero in Wicked and Emmett in Legally Blonde and was a
founder member of The West End Men concert show which has played the UK and overseas.
Recently Lee swapped the stage for the small screen with a regular role in BBC One’s popular TV series Casualty. He can be currently seen on a Saturday night playing the role of nurse Ben “Lofty” Chiltern in the show which is filmed in Cardiff.

Cinderella tells the enchanting tale of rags-to-riches and is transformed from page to stage in a magical production complete with comedy, stunning sets, fabulous costumes and pantomime magic as Cinderella swaps her rags for a ball gown and heads to the ball to meet her handsome Prince!
Cinderella will be staged by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, and the company behind the New Theatre’s record-breaking production last year. Cinderella will be an enchanting tale where spells are cast and dreams can come true.
